Help Me Help Troops

Dear Pro-military People:

I need your help with something. A good friend of mine is deployed to a remote location in the Middle East. His unit is not well connected or supported. In other words, they’re lonely & underappreciated.

I want to bless them with an AWESOME care package.

Please consider contributing some GOOD stuff. If you can, be generous!

Ideas/Suggestions:
-New books or magazines (send a copy of your favorite)
-Snacks that won’t melt/get crushed (i.e.: jerky, cans of nuts, etc.)
-Bluetooth headphones (these are $40 on Amazon)
-Cards/letters of appreciation & encouragement
-Gift cards (Amazon, Apple Store, Google Play)
-Handheld video game consoles (like this one)

There are approx. 20 people in this unit. My friend will ensure the high value/low quantity items go to the Airmen who will benefit most.

My goal is to put these items in their hands by Easter, so I need your stuff by March 20th. Please use my official address:

Malmstrom Chapel
ATTN: Ch Bill Mesaeh
315 72nd St N
Malmstrom AFB, MT 59402

(here’s a mailing label)

Most Americans would like to “bless the troops” but don’t know how. As a seasoned chaplain—and a “troop” who’s been in their shoes—I promise you: THIS will be an amazing blessing.

Three More Things

1. This is not an official Air Force program. It’s just two friends (a chaplain and a first sergeant) working to take care of our Airmen. However, the military will pay the postage on packages I send overseas. There is no need to send me money for postage.

2. This site offers guidelines and restrictions on how to put together a good care package. You can disregard the section about customs forms; I’ll take care of that.

3. Please consider sharing this with friends. I want to overwhelm these Airmen with appreciation and encouragement.

Remember: I need your items no later than March 20th. That means you have about a week and a half to get them in the mail (from March 5th). If you think your items will arrive later than that, give me a heads up. If you don’t have my cell or email, you can use this form.

Thank you for being a blessing to our Airmen!
